Virtua Tennis 3^TM Coming Soon on the Lindbergh^TM Hardware System

Elk Grove Village, IL August 23, 2006 — Sega Amusements USA, Inc. (SAU) announces the fall release of Virtua Tennis 3^TM on the Lindbergh^TM Hardware System. Gamers can experience photo-realistic graphics that don't just put them in the spectator seats; they're on the clay at match point in a grueling battle with some of the world's top athletes.

The professional tennis world is heating up with the re-crowning of Roger Federer at Wimbledon, his defeat at the French Open by Rafael Nadal, and of course the release of Virtua Tennis 3^TM on Sega's Lindbergh^TM cabinet! Sega has served an ace with this one. The sequel to the largely successful Virtua Tennis^TM and Virtua Tennis 2^TM titles will rock the world of tennis with its virtually real player movement and beautifully designed world-class courts.

The game features the top players in the world from men's professional tennis, including four time Wimbledon champ, Roger Federer, along with Tim Henman, James Blake, Taylor Dent, Rafael Nadal and US favorite Andy Roddick. The format of the game sends players on a global tour to the Men's Single and Double Championships on some of the most famous courts in the world from France, US, Australia, and Germany.

Players can also select from a list of 8 play styles, such as play base' line, serve and volley' and offensive.' For the novice player, the game features a series of training and practice sessions. In these modes, Virtua Tennis 3^TM coaches the player giving practice instructions and goals, such as performing six forehands, followed by six backhands, followed by a smash volley.

The hit title is also scheduled for release on various home console platforms in 2007.
